We are back from FABTECH!

Over my 23 year career in manufacturing, I have been to dozens of trade shows. Greenbuild, ASHRAE, IMTS, iPBS, WITS, FABTECH to name the big ones. The 2019 Fabtech show was my favorite. In years past it seemed as if trade shows were starting to be less important. Booths seem to be less elaborate and smaller in scale. Maybe the internet was replacing the traditional way of making new leads. It makes connecting with colleagues easier, and less expensive, than a week in Chicago for all the employees. This year, Fabtech seemed very different. Big elaborate booths from the world’s top equipment suppliers once again on display. Qmada, Trumpf, Lincoln Electric, Fanuc were all displaying the latest and greatest innovations for the manufacturing world.

I love to walk around the entire show, usually on my lunch break, to find things that catch my eye. Things I can take a picture of and show my friends and family. Two things took my immediate interest. Bluco Tables had a firetruck cab up in the air, attached to one of their tables. The sheer size of the cab dwarfed the table holding it. Pretty cool!

Another item I saw was the Torch Throne (that’s what I call it) from the Flametech booth. It was hard to get a photo, people were lined up to sit in this thing and have their picture taken. Pretty cool idea to get people to stop at your booth!

All in all, we had a great week in Chicago. Seeing former booth neighbors that we enjoy talking with like Paul from the NASA booth and Ed from Alabama Laser. We had several happy customers stop by and say some very nice things about our Air Exchangers. Most importantly, we met people who are concerned about their indoor air quality, employee health, and energy bills. That’s where we thrive! Ventilation Pros and KeepTheHeat are here to solve your indoor air quality issues.
